CONFERENCE WORKSHOP HANDOUTS
Before, during or after the 2004 CAL Conference, attendees, presenters and all interested parties may access workshop handouts posted by the presenters. Handouts are arranged alphabetically by workshop title for each day of the conference. (Not every presenter will choose to post their handouts to the conference website.)

REGISTRATION

The registration deadline has passed. If you have not already registered, you must do so onsite. We cannot accept credit cards for onsite registrations. Onsite registration is $25 higher than pre-registration rates. Come to the conference office near the registration desk to register.

Cancellation Policy: Substitutions are welcomed at any time.
Registration cancellations made in writing and postmarked, e-mailed, or faxed at least 30 days prior to the official start of the conference or workshop will result in a full refund less a processing fee (2004 fee is $25) established by the CAL Executive Board. No phone cancellations will be accepted. There will be no refunds for cancellations postmarked after 30 days prior to the official start of the conference.

THIS CONFERENCE JUST GETS JAZZIER AND JAZZIER
The CAL/MPLA Conference Committee wants to pay for your hotel lodging at the 2004 conference!

The CAL/MPLA 2004 Conference Committee will give free lodging to one lucky winner who makes his/her conference lodging reservation by September 15.

The winning name will be drawn from all who have made their reservations by September 15. Drawing will take place at the giveaway in the Exhibits on Saturday morning of the conference. Winner will be notified if they are not present at the drawing.

The winner will provide the committee with a copy of their hotel folio after conference and will be reimbursed for their entire stay (up to four nights). Includes hotel lodging and taxes. Does not include other hotel incidentals or expenses. Room reservations must have been made within the group code to be eligible. Want to do something else fun while you're at conference? Volunteer to help out in an area that interests you! Complete and submit the 2004 Joint Conference Volunteer Form. You will be contacted closer to conference with details. Thank you!


Do you want to schedule a small group meeting at conference?
The conference organizers are working on the schedule of small group meetings. Complete the Small Group Meeting Request Form to be sure we get your group on the schedule. Please complete the form to request space for your committee, interest group, division, association, etc. meetings. Only one contact person/organizer for your group should complete the form.


Graduate Credit Available for Attending the Conference!
The University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center will be offering graduate credit for attendance at All that Jazz, the 2004 CAL conference.

To obtain this credit, participants must attend the conference, submit an activity log of the sessions attended, and write a reflective paper describing how the conference has impacted one’s professional career.

Participants may enroll for either one or two hours of credit. Two days of attendance is required for one hour of credit and four days are required for two hours of credit. Participants must submit a log of activities and a reflective essay.

The cost for one hour of credit is $75.00; the cost for two hours of credit is $130.00. Registration will take place at the conference.

Paralibrarian Scholarships Available to Attend CAL Fall Conference -- Deadline July 21
The Paralibrarian Division Executive Board is waiting for applications for the two $150.00 scholarships that we would just love to give away this year for the CAL fall conference. The scholarship deadline is July 21st, so if you would like $150 to use to attend the CAL fall conference October 21-24 at the Marriott Denver Tech Center, please fill out the short and easy application with a one-page essay on why you should be chosen for the scholarship. Call for Programs
The CAL/MPLA Program Committee met on Saturday, July 10, for the very difficult job of selecting this year's conference workshops from the many wonderful proposals submitted.

The committee members are compiling this list now, and will contact proposers over the next two weeks.

Thanks again for the great response in proposing programs for the conference.

Program and preconference proposals are now being reviewed by the Program Committee. Thank you for your response! The Committee will meet on July 10 and notification will begin the following week.
