Mayor John Hickenlooper - Thursday, November 10
Known for his witty repartee, Hickenlooper will provide a humorous Denver welcome and kick-off for the Conference.
Andrew Romanoff - Friday, November 11
What's After C&D? Is it E? - The Rocky Mountain News recently described him as "equal parts stand-up comedian, policy wonk, and inspirational guru." He doesn't give talks - he gives performances. Even when he's entertaining, however, Romanoff never fails to provide the facts. Find out what's in the fiscal and legislative future for Colorado's higher education, K12, and public libraries, as well as other government services.
Dr. David T. Conley - Friday, November 11
Conley's College Knowledge: What It Really Takes for Students to Succeed and What We Can Do to Get Them Ready was the result of a three-year project funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts and the Association of American Universities. This landmark research identified what it takes to succeed in entry-level university courses. Learn how school and higher education librarians and administrators can make a real difference.
Patricia Schroeder - Saturday, November 12
The Julie J. Boucher Memorial Lecture on Intellectual Freedom. Details

CAL '05 Rocks with Audio! --- Have you heard? (Pun intended!) - Books on Tape/Listening Library will be sponsoring the Nov. 13 Sunday morning keynote by providing us with an inside look at audiobook publishing. David Rapkin, Grammy award-winning producer, Elaina Erika Davis, a BOT narrator (Kira-Kira, Memoirs of a Geisha), and Judith Ivey, Tony Award winner, will be teaming up to tell attendees about the joys and challenges of producing audiobooks.
