![]() About UsThe Division’s goal is to provide leadership and training so trustees and friends of public libraries will be better prepared to advocate for public libraries. Being an advocate means stressing the importance of public libraries in our democratic society, improving public library funding, influencing public policy, and ensuring free and accessible access to information for all. We want to help you turn your passive support of public libraries needs into educated action.
Conference 2007 - November 8-11
Issues & NewsE-mailed updates on the Division’s activities are being sent quarterly. If you would like to be added to that list, send your name, library you represent, and your e-mail address to the Division Chair, Lisa Christner, at lchristner@qwest.net.
Workshops & TrainingIf your Trustee Board would like help with an issue, or feel you need training or assistance, contact the Division Chair, Lisa Christner. Each request is reviewed to determine how best to assist. Sometimes it’s as simple as providing research/background material. Or, we may suggest that we send a qualified person(s) to travel to your location and present a workshop or training session to your Board. Asking for help is the first step in becoming better advocates for your public library.
