Web-Based Advice Service for School Librarians Announced

A group of fourteen past-presidents of the American Association of School Librarians have come together to pool their expertise and experience to assist school librarians with strategies and resources helpful in addressing pandemic-exacerbated challenges. The members of School Library Leaders (SLLs), are pleased to announce a web-based service where school librarians are welcome to pose questions or problems they have encountered. These will be reviewed by the team and answered as quickly as possible. In some instances, possible solutions may be suggested from a variety of perspectives given the team's widely varying backgrounds in school librarianship.

SLLs includes the following contributors: Susan D. Ballard; Cassandra G. Barnett; Dr. Audrey P. Church; Sharon Coatney; Dr. Gail K. Dickinson; Carl A. Harvey II; Dr. M. Ellen Jay; Sara Kelly Johns; Kathryn Roots Lewis; Ann M. Martin; Leslie B. Preddy; Harriet S. Selverstone; Dr. Barbara Stripling; and Dr. E. Blanche Woolls.

The National Collaborative for Digital Equity (NCDE) is honored to host the group and will be collaborating with them on a number of other initiatives to build the capacity of school librarians to become local systemic digital inclusion leaders.
