Libraries serve people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, and are most effective when they intentionally work to remove barriers, reflect the communities they serve, and create welcoming spaces for everyone.

CAL is committed to supporting library workers as they build the knowledge, skills, and practices needed to advance equity and inclusion in their institutions. We help ensure that members have meaningful educational and professional learning opportunities focused on EDI through programs, trainings, discussions, and shared resources.
